It's a pleasure for me and the staff of Physical Therapy (PT) Department at the Islamic University to welcome new students at the beginning of the new academic year.


Physiotherapy is one of the most important branches of the modern health professions.  although it has been known and practiced long time ago since it was considered as the art of building science, contributing to the development of health and prevention of disease, through an understanding of the movement of the body, and is based specialization accurate assessment and drawing up plans therapeutic patients worked to correct and mitigate the effects of the disease and various infections.


It includes the preparation of reports for physiotherapy patients, as well as participates in the development of health plans and projects for the future of society as well as the evaluation of PT educational programs. In order to allow physiotherapist offers full service and care for patients in a scientifically sound manner, it should be done on a scientific basis and a strong understanding with doctors and mental health professionals and social workers.


According to a recent statistics of international health organizations, physical therapy is considered to be one of the most prevalent and fastest growing professions in the world in general. It contributes  to the advancement of medical science other fast concrete and determine the quality of medical services provided to patients, and because of the fact that the excessive increase in population and the high Average ages. This in itself reflects the extent of the world’s need for more physical therapy colleges, which are based on graduation numbers of highly qualified specialists. Therefore, the overall graduate is equipped with the latest technology to support all of our programs also include educational elite faculty members who are dedicated to preparing and qualifying students.


The physiotherapy undergraduate program at the Islamic University introduces different subjects about the background of physical therapy, devices used, methods of assessment and treatment, therapeutic interventions, along with clinical courses, which include methods of evaluation and treatment for various diseases in order to provide a sound background for the study and practice of modern techniques of physical therapy in hospitals and health care centres. This comprehensive approach has been modified to suit local and international standards with the hard work from the members of the department and deanship of the faculty.
